This summer, there
have been an astonishing number of developments in the law
of sexual harassment. The U.S. Supreme Court issued two rulings
on the subject which will have a major impact on employer liability.
The California courts have issued several decisions affecting
individual liability issues and clarifying the distinctions
between "harassment" and "discrimination".
Even President Clintons problems have had an impact on
the harassment issue. At our November luncheon, Susan S. Waag,
of Waag and Co., will fill us in on the latest developments
in sexual harassment and give us some tips on how employers
can take steps to protect themselves and their employees against
harassment and litigation. As always, Susan will have extensive
handouts for attendees.
